April 2009 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination

A total of 577 out of 1,164 examinees passed the Mechanical Engineer Licensure examinations given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in Manila and Cebu this year, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.

Joseph Tundag Mayormita of University of Cebu topped the exams with a rating of 88.65 percent, followed by Iron Descalsota Plando also of University of Cebu with a grade of 88.40 percent.

In third place was Ruel Geronga Gravo of Western Institute of Technology with a mark of 88.05 percent, followed by Jacinto Hachaso Fajardo Jr., University of Cebu, 87.85 percent; Exekiel Deus Aurelio, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 87.75 percent; Joseph Louis Lim Varona, Mapua Institute of Technology, 87.35 percent; Mark Anthony Marquez Marzo, Technological Institute of the Philippines, 86.70 percent; Kristoffer Lemi Manalaysay, Technological University of the Philippines, 86.15 percent; Arlene Patalino Albiso, University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan, 85.95 percent and Paulo Adrian Calalang Fernandez of Mapua Institute of Technology, 85.60 percent.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees as well as previous passers who have not taken their oath will be held before the Board in Manila on May 20, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel, Manila and in Cebu on May 28, the venue to be announced later.
